Beautiful 5 acre mountain property surrounded by over 500 acres of protected land/nature preserve in the stunning setting of rural East Tennessee Appalachia. This home is situated at the highest point in the Narrow Ridge Land Trust and offers breathtaking panoramic mountain and valley views. Step outside your back door and enter 110+ acres of pristine, permanently protected wilderness; featuring miles of private trails, abundant plant, animal and bird life, massive stone outcrops, spring fed creeks and much, much more! Take the trail (approximately 1 mi) to beautiful Norris lake for a refreshing swim or simply relax on the expansive deck and enjoy spectacular sunrises with your morning cup of coffee. The organic garden is mature and highly productive – capable of providing food for family and friends to enjoy. Asparagus, figs, blueberries, peaches, apples, cherries and herbs return each year and are the perfect addition to your homestead. No street lights or outdoor lights make the huge 288 square foot porch the perfect spot for star gazing. The milky way, big dipper and orion can be clearly seen on many nights. The wood shed is stocked with three years of wood and the carport offers extra space and extra storage. Inside the home you will find a Jotul Scandinavian wood stove that will keep you toasty all winter long. Don’t worry, there is back up propane if you need extra heat! The solar panels offer plenty of free electricity to run this 2 bedroom 1 bath home and the abundance of windows allow for extra light and a cool breeze to come through. Narrow Ridge Land Trust is a unique community where conserving and preserving the land is valued. It’s located just a mile and a half from Norris Lake (public boat launch) and just 45 minutes from Knoxville.
